If you think you might have COVID-19, call ahead before going to a doctor’s office or emergency room. Tell them about your recent travel and your symptoms. This allows healthcare facilities to prepare for your arrival and prevent potential spread of COVID-19. If you meet testing criteria, you may be asked to self-quarantine (stay home) while waiting for your testing results. If your diagnosis is confirmed, you will be asked to isolate yourself to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

If you have recently traveled to certain areas of the world, you may asked to stay home for a period of 14 days from the time you left an area with widespread, ongoing community spread. Find more information about cruise ship travel, travel within the US, and returning from a high-risk country.
