What is Barry-Eaton Health Plan?
Barry-Eaton Health Plan is a locally run non-profit organization that offers health care coverage to low-income residents on a limited basis as funding allows. Also, the Health Plan works to increase access to quality health care for all residents.

How do I enroll in "Plan B"?
Call the Health Connections staff at 1-800-553-2565 to see if you qualify first. Be prepared to state your county of residence and your current income.

What is Health Connections Clinic?
Health Connections is the clinic where "Plan B" members receive all of their primary care services.

Is Barry-Eaton Health Plan "Plan B", insurance?
NO. "Plan B" is not insurance. This coverage is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Coverage may end at any time due to a lack of funding or changes to the benefit structure. Members may be disenrolled at any time.

What does it cost?
There is no cost to be a "Plan B" member. Members must pay all co-pays ($10 office visits, $5 generic prescriptions, see below). Sign up now as membership is limited.

What does "Plan B" coverage provide?
Some benefits of Plan B are:

Primary Care visits at Health Connections Clinic ($10 co-pay)
Limited Specialty Care coverage when referred by Health Connections staff (co-pays apply)
Pharmacy Coverage for many generic medicines ($5 co-pay) and a few brand name medicines ($10 co-pay).
Laboratory and Radiology Tests (no copay) when ordered by Health Connections staff

Does "Plan B" cover hospital or emergency room costs?
No, "Plan B" does not cover any inpatient hospital care, emergency room visits, or urgent care visits. "Plan B" does not cover outpatient hospital fees or charges. "Plan B" does not cover any services not authorized by the Health Plan.
