Smoke Free Law
Environmental Health / Smoke Free Law

Under Michigan’s Smoke Free Air Law, which was implemented in May 2010, all public places (exemption being the gaming floors of the Detroit casinos) are to be 100% smoke free.  The law covers both workplaces and food service establishments.  As for the food service establishments, which includes private clubs serving food or beverage, all areas of the food service establishment are to be smoke free. This would also include any outdoor area where food or beverage is allowed to be consumed.
