Outpatient Services

Levels of Outpatient Services

  1. Assessment Services

The assessment services utilize a broad-based approach. The process assesses the client’s level of functioning in a number of areas including living situation, military history, medical status, educational status, employment/support status, drug/alcohol use, treatment history, legal status, family history, family/social relationship status, and psychiatric status. Standardized testing inventories are used to provide additional information to complement the information that is gathered through the interview process. The assessment findings provide detail about the level of substance abuse services that are needed by the client; and also provide information about other services that are needed. Other services that may be needed include medical, vocational, educational, housing, financial, legal, or psychiatric resources. The following categories list the types of assessments that are provided:

General Adult Assessment
General Adolescent Assessment
Court-Related Adult or Adolescent Assessment
Student Assistance Assessment
Drivers License Appeal Division Assessment
  1. Individual, Couples, and/or Family Sessions

These sessions are utilized as a primary outpatient modality, as a follow-up to group services, or concurrently with group services. The sessions provide support in resolving individualized relationship, emotional, psychological, family, relapse, and recovery issues. The frequency of sessions is usually weekly although the frequency can range from twice weekly to once per month. Sessions can be scheduled in either ½ hour or one-hour blocks of time during both daytime and evening hours.

The family is involved with development of the plan and with the treatment process. Family and individual sessions are provided during the course of the family’s involvement with the drug court program utilizing a multi-dimensional family counseling approach.
