Anyone suspecting a foodborne illness associated with a licensed food service establishment, common gathering, or event should contact the Environmental Health Division at (269) 945-9516, option 5 in Barry County or at (517) 541-2615 in Eaton County to initiate an investigation into the possible cause of the illness. All illness complaints will be kept confidential and shall be investigated within 24 hours of receipt.
All non-illness complaints, such as poor sanitation
practices, improper cooking or food handling methods, etc., may be submitted via
phone consultation with an Environmental Health Food Program Sanitarian at (269)
945-9516, option 5 in Barry County or at (517) 541-2615 in Eaton County.
Non-illness
complaints shall be investigated within 5 days of receipt.
